Our Staff
We have a great group of staff! Each instructor has a intensive back ground in dance. Feel free to read more about each of them below.

Amanda Stevens
Owner/Director of "My Studio of Dance"
Teaches the Choreography class, Competition Dance Troupe, POM squad, and oversees Mom & Me classes. Amanda is responsible for creating the curriculum and organizing the office. In her spare time, she...well, really she has no spare time. I guess you could say that "My Studio of Dance" is her consuming passion. Amanda has had a love for dancing forever. She grew up on the East Coast, in Baltimore, Md. and danced professionally by the time she was only 10. She attended Juliard to further her dance skills and married a 'local boy' to our great good fortune and moved to "Our City". The next year, 2002, "My Studio of Dance" opened for business.

Sharon Tiller
Specializes in Ballet
Sharon has been with "My Studio of Dance" for 4 years now. She teaches the Combo II, and all ballet classes and a Mom and Me class. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old, performing with dance troupes for 10. She is currently at City College, taking undergraduate classes for her degree, and plans on pursuing professional advancement in Ballet.

Luke Anderson
The Hip Hop Guru
Luke is a charter member of "My Studio of Dance". He's been with us since 2002, first as a dancer and now as an instructor. He began dancing on the streets, and his mom recognized his passion for the art. She signed him up, here, for classes and he's been through the whole program. His dance team, "Benders" is comprised of many of his friends from his neighborhood and gives demonstrations using the style of street dancing. He is currently teaching the HipHop, Tap, and Combo I classes. He even teaches a Mom & Me class.

Cynthia Farrell
The Jazz Diva
Cynthia is a member of "Our City's" professional Dance Troupe as well as the choreographer/trainer for the City's Musical Theatre productions. She takes the time each year to teach our Jazz classes because she was a graduate of "My Studio of Dance" 4 yrs ago. The advanced Jazz class works with our city's professional Dance Troupe and will be given the opportunity to be included in the Spring Musical Theatre and/or the Spring performance of the Dance Troupe.

Becky Jackson
Our Very Own Ginger Rogers
Becky has been dancing since she was 7 years old, when she traded her skates for dance shoes. Inspired by a show on TV featuring ballroom dancing, she turned to her mother and said, "I want to do that". Her determination never outran her talent, and we are delighted to add Becky this year to our staff. She, with Thomas, teach the Ballroom section of our curriculum. She also manages Mom & Me classes, and helps with the choreography class. Becky teams with Thomas to teach our private lessons.

Thomas Benson
Best of the Ballroom
Thomas has been with us 4 years, and is currently teaching the Ballroom Dancing. He also teaches Tap, Combo I and Combo II classes. Thomas with Becky are available to teach private lessons. Thomas got an early start in ballroom dancing as his parents earned several trophies at the State and National level. He cut his teeth, so to speak, wearing dancing shoes. He now dances competitively with his current partner Becky and they have trophies of their own.
